Samsung launched Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro at the Unpacked event today. The company releases new smartwatches with new features and designs. The Galaxy Watch5 and Pro models have important and useful features for the users. Here are the details.
Galaxy Watch5 series comes in three versions
The technology giant Samsung launched new devices at the Unpacked event today, such as Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Watch5 series. Watch5’s design doesn’t have major changes compared to Galaxy Watch 4. The normal models come in 40 mm and 44 mm versions, while the Pro model comes in 45 mm sizes.
Samsung Galaxy Watch5’s normal versions come in two models. While the 44mm comes with Graphite, Sapphire, and Silver colour options, the 40mm version comes with Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver colour options. However, the Galaxy Watch5 Pro has two colour options: Black Titanium and Gray Titanium.
The 44mm version’s sizes are 43.3 x 44.4 x 9.8 mm, 33.5g, while the 40mm version’s are 39.3 x 40.4 x 9.8 mm, 28.7g. The Watch5 Pro model is 45.4 x 45.4 x 10.5 mm, 46.5g. We can see that the Pro version is larger and weigher than the normal models.
All models get their powers from the Exynos W920 Dual-Core 1.18GHz processor. They have also 1.5GB RAM memory and 16GB internal storage. Additionally, they support fast charging (WPC-based wireless charge). Their battery sizes are also like that:
- 44mm: 410mAh
- 40mm: 284mAh
- Pro: 590mAh
On the screen side, the 44mm and Pro models have the same screen that is a 1.4-inch (34.6mm) 450 x 450 Super AMOLED, full-color Always-On-Display, sapphire crystal. The 40mm version has a 1.2-inch (30.4mm) 396 x 396 Super AMOLED, full-color Always-On-Display, sapphire crystal screen.
The Galaxy Watch5 series has Samsung BioActive Sensor (Optical Heart Rate + Electrical Heart Signal + Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis), Temperature Sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, and Light Sensor.
